About Charles Baker

Clerk of Superior & State Court · November 1977 to present · Gainesville, GA

Before his election to Clerk of Court in 2008, Charles previously served the public as a Chief Deputy Clerk for 7 years. During his over 40 year career he has worked in, as well as managed and supervised, the operations of the criminal court division, the civil court division, the real estate and personal property division, the jury management division and the traffic bureau division of the Clerk’s office.

The court files Civil & Criminal cases such as divorce, adoptions, garnishments, dui, etc. as well as files traffic tickets, game & fish plus real estate records. The Clerk’s office also summons jurors to court for jury trials.

Charles is married to Glenda and they are active members of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Gainesville, GA.
